The war in Ukraine started on February 24 after Vladimir Putin made the decision to attack. The main objective of the war in Ukraine was to take control of kyiv and change power. This was not possible thanks to the heroic defense of the capital by the Ukrainians. Since then, the war in Ukraine has taken on a different dimension – on the one hand, the Russians have focused on the east, where they are trying to make their way overland to occupied Crimea in 2014, and, on the other hand, on the other hand, attempts were made to persuade the Ukrainians to surrender through the brutal slaughter of civilian humanity. The world was particularly shocked by the Bucza tragedy, which showed that the war in Ukraine is a tragedy for thousands of ordinary people.
Russia’s attack is not proceeding as quickly as Vladimir Putin would have liked, even with the use of weapons prohibited by international law.
The war in Ukraine also has enormous international consequences. Russia has been subject to unprecedented sanctions and other countries have started to withdraw from importing raw materials from Russia, mainly gas and oil. Russians themselves can no longer use, among other things with payments with the most popular payment cards.
During the war in Ukraine, the American president flew to Europe and called Vladimir Putin a butcher during his visit to Warsaw. Alternately, the Prime Ministers of Poland (with Deputy Prime Minister Kaczyński), the Czech Republic and Slovenia visited Kyiv, which was very well received by the international community, as well as by Volodymyr Zelensky himself , the President of Ukraine. The only piercing cry during this trip was the statement of Jarosław Kaczyński, who announced a NATO peacekeeping mission in Ukraine. These words were met with incomprehension by the other leaders of the states of the alliance. President Zelensky also expressed skepticism about the peacekeeping mission during the war in Ukraine. According to him, this would lead to a possible freezing of the conflict, not to its end.
Russia’s attack on Ukraine has also triggered an emigration movement. Within a month, more than 2 million Ukrainians have arrived in Poland, most of whom plan to stay on the Vistula for the next few months.
The war in Ukraine has already claimed thousands of civilian and military victims. Russian soldiers, who are increasingly rebelling against the attack on Ukraine, are also dying.
