Jan Piekło, the former Polish ambassador to Ukraine, is convinced that Putin’s Russian regime is capable of anything and that the world is in danger of a global conflict. The wPolsce.pl TV guest also warned against the thoughtless duplication of Russian propaganda, also by Polish citizens.
The Russians are directly responsible for the deaths of two Polish citizens. This tragedy is the result of Russian aggression in Ukraine and is an undeniable fact. It is necessary to await the examination of the site of this event and the opinions of international experts. We need to know what threats we face. (…). We know that the Russians are heavily bombing Ukrainian targets and that sooner or later a similar tragedy may occur
– said Jan Piekło today on wPolsce.pl television.
Russia has the ability to cleverly use such moments for propaganda purposes. Unfortunately, that is what is happening. Comments appeared in the Russian media saying that “the anti-missile system is so weak that we have nothing to fear”. There is also talk of a “Polish provocation, which prepares the capture of Lviv by Poland”. This kind of nonsense appears in Russia, but we also have a group of useful Kremlin idiots who start this kind of narrative in Poland. Nor is it a particular surprise
– argued the former Polish ambassador to Ukraine.
This is our common pain and struggle against Russian imperialism. Unfortunately, there are tragic and dramatic moments. We don’t know what will happen next in Russia. There are probably several scenarios on the table. Unfortunately, some scenarios written by Western experts did not work. We are facing the specter of a Third World War. Different countries respond to this in different ways. Until recently, many Western European countries used tactics that accepted the Russian position and focused on “dialogue” with Russia. We see today that more and more Western politicians are distancing themselves from this
– said Jan Piekło.
