He is the only footballer in history to have won two awards; the best was earlier in 2014 when Argentina lost the final against Germany.
He was in second place Kylian Mbappewho also played in the World Cup final. The young age does not prevent the Frenchman from being the leader of his team. With eight goals in Qatar, he became the top scorer. Very good statistics at PSG meant that the 24-year-old was very high in the TVP Sport plebiscite.
Karim Benzema took 3rd place. The top spot is due to obtaining the Ballon d’Or in October. The French striker won the Champions League and La Liga with Real Madrid. The 34-year-old also achieved the top scorer crown in both competitions.
