Bishop Czaja in the hospital. Auxiliary bishops ask for prayer

The Ordinary of the diocese of Opole has been complaining of discomfort for several days. He was taken to hospital for examination. Auxiliary bishops ask priests and faithful to pray for his health.

Prof. Dr. Joachim Kobienia, Secretary to the Bishop of Opole and Spokesman of the Diocesan Curia of Opole, informed that the Ordinary of the Diocese of Opole felt worse on Friday, January 27. Hospitalization was necessary. On-site tests are underway, with the help of which doctors want to determine the cause of the infection.

In collaboration with illness Ordinary of Opole Rudolf Pierskala and Waldemar Musioł, auxiliary bishops, sent a message to the priests of the diocese.

“Guided by concern and fraternal solidarity, we would like to inform you that due to a strong infection (…) of unknown origin, Bishop Andrzej is hospitalized. The purpose of his hospitalization is diagnosis and then treatment, which can take some time.

The bishops ask all priests, and through their mediation, people of consecrated life and lay faithful in parishes, an individual and community prayer for the health of the Bishop of Opole.
